Startup UCLA Accelerator team Falcon won the Silicon Beach Fest Student Pitch Fest, winning a month of coworking space at WeWork and the
Silicon Beach Fest Hollywood Fall 2012 Student Pitch Fest title. The Falcon app lets you navigate off-grid with personalized, shared maps. Falcon was part of the Startup UCLA summer incubator class of nine startups. Student teams presenting included: – UCLA: Falcon, Scene Genius, Everlane, VuPad – USC: Overlap, Your Turn to Sit, Breaking Heels – Pepperdine: PalpPressure. Thanks judges Alex Capecelatro (At The Pool), Holden Steinberg (PageWoo), Jacques Habra (Noospheric), and student coordinators Alex Vasilescu (UCLA), Jay Tucker (USC) and Pepperdine (Mat MacDonell ).
